Your monthly consumption, roof space, sunlight and sanctioned load determine system size. Our calculator offers a starting point; the final recommendation follows a site survey and review of your electricity bills.
The scheme supports eligible residential electricity connections, subject to current rules. Check the official portal for eligibility, prior subsidy conditions, domestic-content requirements and vendors registered with your DISCOM. Commercial systems do not qualify for this household subsidy.
Solar can reduce your energy charges. Your bill can still include fixed charges, taxes and grid imports. Savings depend on generation, usage and local net-metering rules, so a zero bill is not guaranteed.
A standard grid-connected system switches off during a grid outage for safety. Backup requires a suitable hybrid system, batteries and approved protection arrangements. Ask about your backup needs during the survey.
